Vivek Ramaswamy’s Vision: Elon Musk as Presidential Advisor for a New America

Vivek Ramaswamy, the Indo-American Republican Party’s presidential candidate, has made it clear that he would like Elon Musk to be an advisor in his administration when he becomes president and is elected in the United States in 2024. Ramaswamy, 38, made the comments Friday at Iowa City Hall when asked who he would like to have as an advisor for his potential presidency, NBC News reported.

Ramaswamy admires Musk’s massive layoffs after taking over Twitter last year. “I had the privilege of becoming more acquainted with Elon Musk not too long ago. I expect he will be an interesting advisor for me as he fired 75% of Twitter’s staff.”; Ramaswamy was quoted in the report.”And just like that, he mentioned how the effectiveness saw a noticeable increase.”

Ramaswamy, a second-generation Native American, founded Roivant Sciences in 2014 and led the largest biotech IPO in 2015 and 2016, resulting in successful clinical trials in multiple disease areas that, according to his biography, led to the development of FDA-approved products. Musk (52) is a billionaire owner of SpaceX, Tesla, and X, a platform formerly known as Twitter.

Ramaswamy previously praised Musk’s leadership at the social media company, now called X, and said he would run the government the same way Musk runs businesses. “What he did on Twitter is a good example of what I want to do with an administrative state,” Ramaswamy told Fox News last week.  “Reduce 75% of the expenses attributed to failures while enhancing the performance of its intended functionality.”

He posted an X on Twitter, and in response, I placed an uppercase X on every single state,” he included.  “That’s my common tactic with Elon.”  Since Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion last fall, X’s workforce has dwindled from just under 8,000 to around 1,500. billionaire who previously pledged his support to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, the White House candidate and co-host of DeSantis’039; chaotic launch of Twitter Spaces campaign – he said last week that he sees Ramaswamy as a “very promising candidate”.

Ramaswamy is the youngest Republican presidential candidate. Nikki Haley, former governor of South Carolina, is another Indian-American Republican Party candidate seeking a party nomination. Ramaswamy has expressed a desire to shut down the Department of Education, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the NBC report said.

He’s one of the richest Americans under 40. He studied biology at Harvard before earning a law degree from Yale and was a brief billionaire before a stock market downturn eroded his fortune to just over  $950 million, he says. Forbes
